Camera operator for National Geographic's ''Wild and Woolly'', a story about Themba, the orphaned baby elephant, and his best friend, Albert, the sheep. Karla was also foster mother for the elephant for 3 months.

Camera operator and off line editor for 14 episodes, and camera operator, off line editor writer and director for the last episode. Series broadcast on Animal Planet in September 2008, in Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East.
